“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him (Jesus): ‘I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.’ That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic- on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg- or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.” – C.S. Lewis
Jesus Offers Relationship “Now the hireling flees because he merely serves for wages and it not himself concerned about the sheep (cares nothing for them). I am the Good Shepherd; and I know and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me- Even as truly as the Father knows Me and I also know the Father- and I am giving My very own life and laying it down on behalf of the sheep.” John 1-:13-15 AMP
Jesus is not a spiritual teacher or a grand idealist. He is the Son of the living God who came to this world to save each and everyone of us from the pain, sickness and defeat of this world. He does not desire robots in His service, but a loving, real, active relationship with us. He desires to know us, and for us to know Him so intimately that nothing and no one is closer or more real to us. He is the ultimate in satisfaction, the completion to our souls and the antithesis of loneliness. He has given His all, His very life to have this kind of a relationship with you, what will your response to this great act of love be?
Jesus Offers Hope “May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing through the experience of your faith that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing, bubbling over with hope.” Rom. 15:13 AMP
“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.” Ps. 62:5-7 ESV
In a world of hopelessness and loss, Jesus is our answer. He and He alone can answer the call of the human heart. Only He is great enough to fill such a massive void. Only He has known you from before the foundations of the earth. Only He can call forth the greatness within you and speak life into dead places. He is Hope, He is Wholeness, and He is Love. Where our understanding and courage ends, His begins. Where we cannot go one more step, He lifts us up into His arms and carries us into the light of His love. Will you allow Him to strengthen you today?
Jesus Offers Healing “And Jesus replied to them, It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to arouse and invite and call the righteous, but the erring ones, those not free from sin, to repentance.” Luke 5:31-32 AMP
“But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 ESV
No matter what your sickness Jesus is ready and able to heal it. If you have emotional wounds, physical illness, or relational sickness Jesus has already paid the price to see those areas made whole. He came for you and for me… the sick and the dying, those without help and without a physician. It is His passion to see you healthy and made well. He gave His very life to this end. No other spiritual leader has paid the price He has paid for you. They may claim revelations and insights, they may declare the will of God, but not one has given their very life for you and for me. Jesus is our Healer. Will you receive His sacrifice for you today?
Jesus Offers Redemption “Therefore there is now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life which is in Christ Jesus (the law of our new being) has freed me from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the Law could not do, its power being weakened by the flesh (the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit) Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin.” Romans 8:1-3 AMP
Jesus has been given in our place. He has purchased our freedom from guilt and condemnation. He has won us our complete and total redemption. Because of His love and the power that comes into our lives through a relationship with Him we can know what it means to live in total freedom and joy. We can know how to love others and how to walk free from all that would try to hold us back. He has redeemed you through the power of His shed blood on the cross. He and He alone could accomplish this, for He alone is without sin. He is all that we cannot be, and yet He accepts us as we are and invites us into His life. Will you allow Him into your life?
Jesus Offers Eternal Life “Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty forever. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up into eternal life.” John 4:13-14 ESV
How long will you thirst and not be filled? How long will you live your life without purpose, fulfillment and wholeness? Jesus is the answer to all of your desires. When you allow Him into your life He fills it so completely that you will never know dissatisfaction again. He will quench the thirst of your soul, the thirst of your heart and the thirst of your spirit. He not only makes our life on earth magnificent but He gives us access into Eternal Life spent with Him in heaven. You do not have to worry for one more moment about where you are going when you die. You don’t have to live for one more second with fear and terror about what comes after this life. You can have an assurance that you will go to heaven when you die. All you need to do is accept Jesus and all that He offers. You do this through praying a simple prayer. After you pray this prayer Jesus will come into your heart and your life and begin to do a miraculous work in you. You will never be the same again as you walk with Him every day. If you would like to accept Jesus in this way please pray the following prayer.
Dear Jesus, I thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Thank you for dying for my sins and paying the price that I could not pay. I now give you my entire life. Take it from me today and strengthen me to walk in a love filled relationship with you from this day forward. I repent for my past sins and today I decide to walk away from them and to never go back to them. Thank you for your salvation which is my free gift. I give you my life. Amen
What to do now: Accepting Jesus into your heart is the best decision you will ever make in your life. You may be wondering what to do now that you have started life again with Him. We would encourage you to find a good local church and get involved there with a small group or home fellowship. It is essential to now start getting trained in the things of God. We also would encourage you to spend a daily time with God reading the Bible and praying. This allows Him to renew your mind and strengthen you for your day.
