The case of Prisila’s circumstances was brought before the courts after her older sister, Veronica, at age 13, had been found pregnant. Veronica was sexually abused and then threatened that if she didn’t remain silent, Prisila herself would also be targeted. Months passed, and Veronica was constantly feeling sick. A doctor assessed her and discovered she was pregnant. The authorities were brought in, and Veronica could no longer avoid the confession. An investigation followed where the police deemed that all three of the children were at constant risk. They immediately removed them from danger and sent them to Casa Angelina.
Prisila came from a dysfunctional family where she and her two siblings all had different fathers. She was left alone all day, living in many of the dangers created by the cycle of poverty.
Casa Angelina is a safe-haven where hope and love transform. The Flores children are together, safe, lacking for nothing, being educated, and will learn the wonders of living in a relationship with their heavenly Father.
