In 2014, Graciela Sajmolo joined our widow program after visiting the Mercy Clinic and asking for help. Her diabetes was completely out of control and the effects on her retina, kidneys, and mobility were extreme. She quickly became a very beloved member of our widow program as we treated her conditions and assisted her and her four children with food, water, a new home, and more. Through dialysis her condition improved, but in May 2018, she took a nap and never woke from a coma. Since her husband had passed away from cancer, Graciela’s request was that, should she pass away too, her children be brought up in the care of Casa Angelina. Despite the loss these four have experienced, they have found abounding love, peace, and provision here. They are soaking up every moment with wide eyes and open hearts and integrating into our community extremely well. They love their new home at Casa Angelina!
