Elisa Choy has been a widow for 30 years and a part of our widows’ program since 2019. Her husband was an alcoholic and was in a terrible accident resulting in the loss of his life. Elisa suffers from arthritis and she cannot read or write. Her previous house was made of adobe but through our widows’ program we have had the privilege of providing for her a new home. She feels very grateful for the blessing she has received in having a warm and stable home. Her daughter previously helped provide for some of her needs, but Elisa is now currently receiving monthly groceries and occasional medical help from our clinic. Elisa has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all we have been able to provide through this program and has said that she never imagined she could have something so beautiful.
