Modesta Tíney is 69 years old. Her husband was in a lot of pain with bad ulcers and eventually passed away in 2017.
Modesta has five children, two of whom are twins suffering from mental disabilities. They both live with Modesta. She still works in the fields to help provide for her family, and her other children also help when they can. Her old house was a shamble of adobe and metal. She received a new home in December 2019, and now we take care of her food and medical needs, and living conditions.
