Graciela was widowed last year after her husband died of colon cancer. She has four young children and lives in Zaragoza. Due to a lack of funds and medical care, she developed diabetes and didn’t know it. She has since lost most of her eyesight. When she first came to the clinic, her diabetes was so bad that it caused diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage), and she couldn’t walk. With treatment, she is able to walk again and is so grateful for the help she is receiving.
